National Bass Anglers Association is pleased to announce that the BBT Bass Tournaments circuit, Michigan’s largest independent circuit, will affiliate with NBAA for the 2005 season.
The highest finishing NBAA member in BBT’s 2005 Classic Championship will be invited to participate in the NBAA National Championship in the spring of 2006. Jim Sprague, executive Director of NBAA and Russ Hirdes, owner of BBT recently signed this major deal.
“We’re very excited to work with one of the most successful and well respected circuits in the Midwest” stated Sprague. “BBT has built a quality program over the years and it’s an honor to work with Russ and his staff.”
To be eligible, anglers must be NBAA members prior to fishing the first BBT Qualifier in June of 2005. One team will qualify for the NBAA National Championship through BBT. Rules for eligibility will be posted through NBAA’s and BBT’s websites. BBT Tournaments remain an independent tournament trail, following their own existing rules and procedures. BBT events do not qualify for other NBAA programs.
The BBT circuit runs weekend tournaments in the West Michigan area and is one of the longest running circuits in the state. Director Russ Hirdes also owns and operates Borculo Bait and Tackle in Borculo, Michigan. Check out BBT at www.bbtbass.com.
