2006 “Kentucky Lunker Shootout” Added to Format!

$1000 Big Bass Payout Guaranteed !

We’ve added another great reason to attend next spring’s great Championship Week – the first annual Kentucky Lunker Shootout on Saturday, May 6th. This event will be open to all anglers who miss the Ultimate Challenge cut on Thursday or Friday. We want to make your trip to Kentucky as worthwhile as possible, so we’re adding in this great new challenge that should be a great time for everyone.

Here’s how we have it planned. All teams who miss the cut will be eligible to participate. Those making the cut will not be eligible. This will be a one day big bass event, with each team weighing in their big bass of the day for a chance at cash and prizes. Hours for this event are tentatively safe light to 2:00 pm. There will be prizes for the largest Smallmouth and Largemouth. We will complete the Kentucky Lunker Shootout weigh in prior to the Ultimate Challenge Championship. We’re guaranteeing $1000 in cash and prizes for this event.

More details are being finalized and we welcome your ideas and suggestions. We’re already in talks with sponsors and hope to make this event even larger. Another great reason to make the trip to Kentucky!
