News - NBAA Announces New Staff Appointments

Doug Maurer, IT Director

NBAA is pleased to announce that Doug Maurer has accepted the position of IT Director. Doug, the owner of Business Technology Integration, has over 15 years of technology expertise ranging from network engineering, consulting, and software development. He is currently re-writing our management software and is working closely with our web developer. Together, they are creating a seamless website to integrate all of thetournament results and standings into a real-time resource that Directors and NBAA Members can use.

We're are also fortunate that Doug brings with him a successful fishing and tournament background. Doug is very familiar with NBAA and well known on the west side of Michigan. In fact, Doug is a past Divisional Points Champion, Classic Qualifier, and member of the Skeeter State Team.

By combining his technical expertise and passion for fishing, Doug will help grow and simplify the technical needs of the NBAA organization.

Jack Horning, Promotional Director

Jack Horning has joined the staff of NBAA as the new Director of Promotions. Jack will be networking with our many Sponsors to help coordinate programs, special events, special offers, shows and more. Jack will be working with Sponsors and their local representatives to get NBAA Members the best value and exposure in tournament angling. Jack has already been instrumental in signing on several new sponsors that we'll be announcing soon.

Many of you know Jack as a long time Tournament Director for NBAA. You can also recall the many tournaments he's fished all the way back to Tri-State. In fact, Jack and his partner Jeff Denny, won one of the first boats ever awarded by NBAA. Jack will also continue on as a Divisional Director for NBAA.

Jack has a number of contacts throughout the fishing industry and is working hard to bring in fresh sponsorships from outside the industry. If you have any sponsor ideas that you'd like pursue, get with Jack. He's currently working on team deals to offer individual members. We'll announce the availability of these pro staff positions as they become available. Jack will be at most of the promotional shows so be sure to
welcome him to our staff.
