This lake is a slot lake. You cannot keep any bass between 14" and 24". You may keep one over 24". Fayette County Resevoir is famous for a lot of things, but aside from fishing it is popular because of a true story made famous by a movie with Burt Reynolds and Dolly Parten. Hence it's name "Best Little Powerplant Lake in Texas".

It produces monster stringers with 3 to 4 pound bass being the average. It just broke wide open last week. Any anglers coming south this summer should try to get in on one or more of these tourneys just for the fun of catching fish. And you Will catch fish. It is 2400 acres of Bass Fun!
