Texas – the first Lake Conroe Qualifier was met with early morning storms, but didn’t deter anglers in our first ever Texas tournament, who also had to deal with a tough prespawn bite and a ton of nuisance white Bass.

The team of Mark Finch and Pete DeLeeuw found big fish moving into the brush and onto beds. They weighted a limit of five bass for a total weight of 21.03 lbs and big bass of 5.13 lbs. Scott David fished alone and took second place with a weight of 14.49 lbs. He used Pork Gitzits for his 4 fish. Director Dan Leader did a great job of putting together a great tournament on short notice. |
