Arctic Cat 1 on 1 National Championship - Watts Wins!

The winner of this year’s Arctic Cat 1 on 1 National Championship is Don Watts. Don walked away with this National Championship by nearly 4 lbs weighing in an incredible bag of fish going 17.32 lbs. That’s not the only thing Don walked away with. Don winning the One on One National Championship also walked away with a new ATV from Arctic Cat.

The winning weight came on a C Flash crankbait fished around rocks and weed points. Don’s big fish came late in the day when he went to his big fish spot for the third time. Three’s a charm and it was for Mr. Watts. Reeling in a great 4.20 on the C Flash put the icing on the cake for Don’s One on One National Championship title. If you’d like to put the C Flash to work for you their available at Al & Bobs Sport Shop in Grand Rapids and D & R Sports Center in Kalamazoo.

Second place went to Greg Deatsman. Greg had a great day of fishing bringing in 13.81 pounds and this nice bag of fish was worth $800. Third place went to Dustin Hammer, Dustin brought in 13.16 and walked away with $500. The big bass of the day went to Chad Sterkenburg with a huge largemouth tipping the scales at 4.67 lbs. Chad also took 9th place and walked away in total with over $300. Other special winners were Bill Cisler and Herb Seidelman who won the Bass Pro Shops Gift Cards for being one and two out of the money. In total over $6000 was paid out in cash and prizes at this special event.

Another big winner of the day was Cliff Blackford. Cliff was the Super Qualifier Point Champion for 2008. For all of Cliffs efforts in competing in all 3 events and doing well Cliff won a great plaque from D&S Trophies, an Aqua-Vu camera and gift cards from Bass Pro Shops.

After the weigh in and before checks were handed out there was a huge free raffle and every angler that stuck around won a prize.
