DIVISION 40 SETS NEW RECORD!

Eastside Directors Take Back Title!

The record set by directors from the west side of Michigan didn’t last long as the directors from the east side of Michigan showed up in force to set a new NBAA Overtime Division attendance record of 48 boats, just edging out the old record of 46 boats set on Gull Lake by divisions 14 and 15. Division 40 director Paul Cowen took on the challenge and rallied area directors to set the new record on his final regular season qualifier on Cass Lake. Other area directors showed up in support, included Greg Adams, Ron Conner, Rich Kelly, Chip Trealout, Pete Lusis, Roy Randolph, Ed Schiller, Bill Head, Chris Cucksey and Jonathan Oakes.

First place on this record breaking evening went to the team of John and Dylan Matheis with 5 fish for 9.20 lbs. Following in a close second place with 9 lbs even was the team of Derrek Zdeb and Chris Schultes. And rounding out the top 3 was the team of Chris Standhardt and Dan Kelly Jr with 8.24 lbs. Reeling in the big bass of the night was Alex Cataldo of Cataldo and Semple. The big bass weighed in at 4.23 lbs.
