FALL CLASSIC 2012 – LAKE ST CLAIR!St Clair Open

The location for this year’s NBAA Fall Classic has been set – Lake St Clair.  Lake St Clair is said by many to hold the best Smallmouth bass fishing in the country.  5 fish, 20 lb bags of giant Smallmouth’s are coming place on this unbelievable body of water.

NBAA anglers from the mid-west and beyond will be looking forward to taking on these giant smallies at this year’s Fall Classic.  This special event will kick off at the Harley Ensign ramp on September 20th.  Registration will start at 3:00 pm followed by a mandatory meeting at 5:00 pm.  The Fall Classic is a two day, combined weight event.  The total weight after two days will determine the winner.  Day one will kick off on September 21 and day two will launch on September 22.  There is no cutoff after day one.  ALL anglers will be eligible to compete both days and weigh in.  See below on how to qualify for this special event and other important details.

Event – NBAA Fall Classic
Qualify for the Fall Classic – Automatically qualify for the Fall Classic!

  • Overtime Challenge Events – Tournament anglers that fish 11 of 12 events or 5 of 6 fall events in any Overtime division will automatically qualify for the Fall Classic. Divisional Championship events do not count towards qualification.
  • Weekend Challenge – Fish at least 4 tournaments in any Weekend Challenge Division and you will automatically qualify for the Fall Classic.

Dates -

  • September 20 – 22, 2012
  • Thursday, September 20, 2012 – Registration/Rules Meeting at Harley Ensign Ramp. At least 1 member from each team must attend the registration and meeting.
  • Friday, September 21, 2012 – Day 1
  • Saturday, September 22, 2012 – Day 2 – Final Day

Take off times:
First Flight take off Harley Ensign – 8:00 am
Second Flight take off Harley Ensign – 8:30 am

Check in times:
First Flight check in at the Harley Ensign ramp/DNR Dock 4:00 pm
Second Flight check in at the Harley Ensign ramp/DNR Dock 4:30 pm
 
Registration – Registration will be done on line or via phone.  Stay tuned to web for more registration details.
 
Boat Numbers – A random drawing of all registered teams by the cutoff date – September 15th will determine the boat numbers for day one. The numbers will be flip flopped for day two take off.  *If you do not register by the cutoff date, you may still fish in the Fall Classic.  You number will be assigned in sequential order as your registration is received.
 
Entry Fee - $100 and includes big bass, other optional pots may be available
