Championship Week 2008!
No Off Limits!!
With NBAA’s National Championship coming up in just a few short weeks the excitement is really starting to build. Top anglers from all over the mid-west are looking forward to going to Kentucky and competing on the Ohio River for thousands in cash and prizes including 3 – Nitro/Mercury rigs.
One of the questions we’ve been asked, will there be any limits on the river as to where you can go and fish. The simple answer is no. If you can get to a spot without breaking any local laws or NBAA rules you can fish anywhere in the river system you’d like. You can lock through and go upstream or downstream as far as you’d like to go. Just be careful and remember you need to lock through to get back and you don’t want to be late in returning to check in.
If you haven’t registered for the upcoming championship on the Ohio River and have qualified you still have plenty of time to do so. If you’re not sure if you’ve qualified and would like to come to this year’s championship just e-mail Jack Horning at jackhorning@sbcglobal.net and he’ll help you out with any questions you may have. The city of Carrollton is really stepping up for NBAA anglers and has many special events planned. This is shaping up once again to be another great NBAA Championship!
Also, due to the amount of boats that we have registered we will have overflow boat parking at the fairgrounds. This location is within 1 mile of most of the major hotels and is the same location where registration and the weighs will take place. There will be plenty of power to charge your batteries and security will be on hand overnight. The security will start the night of May 13th and run through May 16th. We encourage anglers to take advantage of this extra parking and if you have any questions about this or any other championship details please e-mail jackhorning@sbcglobal.net.
