NBAA - Rocky Fork April 16 Results

Well the Southern Ohio Bass Challenges (SOBC) 1st tournament is in the record books. 11 Teams showed up to start the season even though the weather was trying to stop any event from happening.

The SOBC started off with a hot breakfast provided by Bay View Cottages and then the anglers took to the lake. With rain all week, heavy rain the night before and high winds with rain forecasted for the day it looked to be a rough one. The day started off ok but the rain moved in and the wind cranked up to 40 mph. The lake had 2 foot white caps.

Plastic baits were the lure of the day with some fish taken on crank baits early. The fishing was tough. Typical April fishing in Ohio. The team of Cade Harper and Jerrode Jones took 1st with 1 nice fish at 4.10 lbs and big bass. Tim Hart and Kyle Maynard took 2nd with 3.11 lbs. Rounding out the top three was the team of Tim & Joe Miller with 2.78 lbs. The SOBC would like to thank ALL the teams that came out to support us and our great sponsors. The weather to say the least was terrible and the SOBC appreciates everyone’s efforts to stick out the adverse conditions.
